Grama V came to visit for a couple days, even though she was here for work. It was very nice to have her here, even though it was such a short visit. Unfortunately, we didn't get any pics of her and baby L. However, I promise you she spoiled baby L, barely putting her down!

Day 16

Today we are celebrating grandma Mary's birthday, since Gabe will be working in Cali on the 22nd. We started out her day by bringing her Lox and bagels. She had been talking about this all week, so we headed to Einstein's this morning! Gabe made a gourmet dinner of steamed clams, fillet, crab, salad and French bread. Me being the baker, I attempted to make grandma Marilyn's famous vanilla pie!

Baby L had a hard day celebrating grandma's b-day and picking out presents for her.

Day 15- Feb. 18th

Today was a very special day for baby L. She got to make her auntie Alyssa a birthday video, since she lives so far away. Also, today is baby L's great grandmas b-day and her mommy's best friend Sharon's b-day too (aka auntie Sharon)! They were all hoping baby L would share their b-day, but she decided she didn't wanna spoil the trio. Also, as many of you know we were happy baby L was born in Feb. As she makes 4 generations of women in our family born in Feb!! Some may argue that for it to technically be 4 generations it would have to be Alyssa having a baby girl in Feb. However, we think different of that and are proud to say it.. Great grandma lissie, grandma Mary, auntie Alyssa and now baby L are the fab four ladies of February!

It's hard not to cross my eyes.. Hahaha

Baby L had her second doctors appt. She gained 6.5oz bringing her to a whopping 7# 8.5oz, and still 20in. She had a great check-up and was a tough cookie barely making a peep for her heel stick test! Her next appt. is March 18 for her shots. Mommy is not looking forward to this visit. :(

On my way to the doc

Grandma was nice enough to watch me so mommy and daddy could enjoy Valentine's dinner at PF Changs! She said I was really good and only fussed when I was hungry.

Day 2

We are trying our best to take a picture a day of our sweet angel!

Since we didn't find out baby L's gender until arrival she didn't really have any girly clothes! Needless to say we have since fixed this problem.

One Day Old

Luckily, baby L and I checked out healthy and were dismisses from the hospital in just over 24 hours. She did have slight jaundice so our pediatrician told us to supplement with formula and let her stay in the sun. We were then to call and check in with him on Sunday. This really made me happy, I mean really a doctor telling me to call him on a Sunday and if he thought it was necessary he would come to office and check her out= AWESOME!

So here is our precious girl at 1 day old and ready to go check out her new home and puppy who was anxiously waiting her arrival!

Her newborn outfit was still a little big for her!

Baby L's Arrival

First off, we are going to continue referring to baby as baby L on our blog for privacy purposes. So if you know her name, which most of you do we ask you please leave it out of the comments.

I had a doctors appointment on Monday February 1st, which was 9 days before my due date. At this appt. both the doctor and nurse couldn't believe I hadn't had the baby yet, as for two weeks he had been saying baby L was super low. However, I was still only dilated to a 2 and he thought I might go into labor within 48hrs. However, we decided if I didn't it was best to do an induction later in the week. The doctor decided on this due to my petite size, and he didn't want the baby getting too big increasing my risk for c-section. So, we went home and decided we would give it a full 48 hrs and then if nothing I would go in Wednesday Feb.2 at 8pm for induction.

Well bummer baby L was very content and didn't want to surprise is early! :( off to the hospital we went at 8pm February 2nd. When we arrived at the hospital I was dilated to a 4. I thought oh this is great won't be long now. However, it was a VERY long 16 hours, because, unfortunately I progressed very slowly. I got an epidural at about 4am and they broke my water. But at 5:30 am I was only a 5!!! Thankfully, when the nurses switched shifts at 7:30am and checked me I was at 9 cm and +2 station. This was the best news we had gotten in 11 hours! At 9:50 am it was time to start pushing. I never knew how hard this was going to be without being able to feel anything. This went on for a while and the they decided to give me a 15 minute break which turned into 30 mins. As we started to push again I wad beginning to have feeling in my feet. I told the nurse but they said oh your epidural medicine just ran out but you wont need anymore since the baby is so close. The longer this went on the more I could feel each contraction. Of course, my doctor just happened to be super busy today And was running between two hospitals. By the time he got there, it took all of 5 mins and we and this beauty.....

It's a GIRL!!!!
