21 weeks 6 days/ big surprise

Today Baby L got to take her first plane ride. We planned a surprise trip to South Carolina to visit grandma, Auntie Alyssa and Uncle Chris. With a few white lies and some serious secret keeping we were able to pull this off with huge success. Baby L was awesome on the plane, she slept most of the first flight. Then, since our plane was delayed leaving Vegas they had to hold our plane in Houston and we basically just got off one plane and on to the other. Since, we were the last to board Gabe and I couldn't even sit by each other. At first, I was very nervous to sit by myself with baby L. However, we sat in between two very nice men who both had children and were awesome talking, laughing, and even letting baby L push and pull them. She only slept about 30mins of the 2.5 hour flight but seriously she did so well. Once we arrived uncle chris was waiting for us in baggage claim, and we loaded up and drove the 45 mins to surprise auntie and grandma. Chris had planned it so they would have dinner at moms, so little did they know we would be joining them too! By the time we got to grandmas baby L was exhausted and crying, poor baby. We had uncle chris carry her in, gabe followed behind with the video camera, then I came in. I can seriously say the shock on mom and alyssa's face was priceless. They could not believe we had flown all this way and us and chris had kept such a secret for so long!
